All govt. services in AP to go online from October, says CM Naidu

Andhra Pradesh government has announced 2017-18 as an e-Pragati year and pledged to make all government services available online starting October. The Naidu government has begun training officials to handle e-governance.

A six-week training programme is being conducted by a team from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. The program is aimed at equipping officials with the knowledge to handle new technologies that will be incorporated in government departments soon.

With the move to an online platform, all certificates, invoices, file status will be available online. Apart from ensuring transparency, the move is also aimed at job creation. "By using technology the state government is able to save 15% in Public Distribution System, 6% in pensions and 25% in scholarships by curbing misuse of the schemes," said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
