Arvind Panagariya to quit Niti Aayog & get back to academics

New Delhi: Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Arvind Panagariya has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying he wants to quit and return to academics in the US.

Panagariya, who has been on leave from Columbia University to work at the Niti Aayog, said in his letter that his leave was due to expire on August 31 and it was not possible to extend it, a senior official said.He also said that he wants to resume his teaching job at the university.
