Rashtriya Janata Dal chief on Wednesday said that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar did not ask for Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav's resignation who is facing corruption charges.

Lalu issued the statement after separate meeting with the party legislators on the agenda of whether his son, Tejashwi, should quit as Deputy Chief Minister because of corruption charges.Former Union Minister came out backing his son amid reports of Mahagathbandhan or Grand Coalition would break apart today.

The two meetings of MLAs of both the parties are coming just ahead of the monsoon session of the Bihar assembly. If things were fine between the coalition partners, the two meetings would have been clubbed into one.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said on Friday that his son Tejashwi Yadav will not resign as the deputy chief minister of Bihar over corruption charges. "The Vidhan Mandal of our party has taken a decision that Tejashwi Yadav will not resign," Lalu said.
