Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday said demonetisation has helped in curbing round tripping of corrupt and black money. He was speaking at the Delhi Economics Conclave 2017 in New Delhi.

In his opening remarks, Jaitley expressed confidence about the impact of demonetisation and digitization on the Indian economy. He said,"Government working on tracking the invisible economy,' in his inaugural speech. "The impact of digitization is visible in the Indirect and direct tax system, " said Jaitley.

On this occasion, T Shanmugaratnam, Deputy PM, Singapore, said India is making right strides in key areas even though its long way to go. He said, 'the need of the hour is to build political support for good economics.'
