Flood in North East India: 80 people dead

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said, 80 people were killed and 58 districts were damaged due to heavy rains in northwest India in the last two days.Flooding in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur. Minister of State for Urban Development Jitendra Singh said people living in 58 districts were disrupted.

 

The minister reviewed the flood situation with its officials. He also informed that food, water and clothing were provided by displacing people in the hazardous areas to a safe place. Jitendra Singh said that the central government is committed to providing all kinds of assistance to state governments.
