6,000 foreign donation NGOs license will be cancelled soon

About six thousand non-governmental service organizations (NGOs) who have not been continuously paid annual accounts, income and spending accounts for the past five years, will lose licenses to foreign donors, a senior official said.

Six thousand NGOs were informed on July 8 that the notice was issued and the appropriate answer should be given by July 23, the official said.On May this year, 18,523 NGOs were given a one-time opportunity to submit their annual accounts, spending and income details within June 14.

These NGOs, registered under the Regulation Act for Foreign Sector, have been advised to submit their annual accounts, expenditure and income details for the financial year 2014-15 from the year 2010-15.
