The Airtel ‘bonus’ offer started on May 16. This offer by Airtel seems to be a move to take on Reliance Jio, which has reportedly been testing JioFibre, a Fibernet broadband service in some major cities.

Under the Airtel offer, there are 4 plans (Rs 1099, Rs 1299, Rs 1499, Rs 1799) which can get you 1000GB of bonus data for 1 year. Meanwhile, the lowest plans of Rs 899 can get the users, 750 GB of data for a year.

Earlier this month, Airtel had announced several new plans starting from Rs 899 for its home broadband users, where it is offering 100% more data benefits within the same monthly rental plans.

Under the plan, users could get 60 GB broadband data for Rs 899. Earlier it was only 30 GB. Under the Rs 1,099 plan, you get 90 GB data compared to 50 GB earlier. Similarly, under the Rs 1,299 plan user can avail 125 GB, as earlier it was 75 GB. The Rs 1,499 plan can get you 160 GB compared to 100 GB available earlier.

Airtel has introduced ‘V-Fiber’ which can deliver consistent fast broadband speeds of upto 100 Mbps. However, the internet speed will go down to 512 Kbps once the data limit is crossed. You will also get free WiFi router and can make unlimited free calls.

Hemanth Kumar Guruswamy, CEO – Homes, Bharti Airtel, said, “Our new plans are aimed at putting India onto the digital super highway and complement our superfast broadband offerings like ‘V-Fiber’.”
