Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Madhya Pradesh today to unveil the roadmap for conservation of Narmada river under the Narmada Seva Mission.

Narendra Modi will also participate in the concluding ceremony of the Namami Devi Narmada Sewa Yatra in Amarkantak in Anuppur district.

The Sewa Yatra was kicked off from Amarkantak in December last year and will conclude today after covering a distance of nearly 3,500 km and passing through more than 1,000 villages and towns.

"Narmada Sewa Yatra is an excellent mass movement to protect the Narmada and conveys a larger message of saving the environment as well," Narendra Modi said on Twitter.

"The roadmap has been prepared after wide-ranging consultation with various stakeholders, including environmentalists, river conservation experts and people directly associated with Narmada," the Madhya Pradesh chief minister said.

According to official sources, Narendra Modi will fly from New Delhi to Dumna airport in Jabalpur where he will be received by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The Prime Minister will then take a chopper ride from Jabalpur to reach Amarkantak in the afternoon.
