In the ongoing row over Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Saturday accused the Election Commission of India of over-guaranteeing EVMs.Sisodia, who was a part of the all party meet at EC on Friday, said the EVMs can be tampered.

"The EC is over-guaranteeing their EVMs. They must remember that it is a man-made machine. The person who made it might have an excellent command over its engineering but at the same time, there are smarter persons who can tamper their EVMs," Sisodia said.

The party is raising questions over EVMs since its humiliating defeats in Punjab and Goa and also in Delhi municipal elections. He said the EC is also vouching for its administrative safeguard while conducting elections, which can not be guaranteed.

"The administrative safeguard the EC is talking about is the group of IAS and PCS officers who help them in conducting elections. They should remember that the same SDMs and DMs are seen politically influenced before and after elections and also many of them will be found indulged in corruption," Sisodia said.

Party MLA had recently presented a demo on hacking of EVM at the Delhi Assembly. He also termed colleague Kapil Mishra's Satyagrah as a BJP backed protest.

"When our MLA Sanjeev Jha went to stage a protest outside Mishra's residence, the police arrested him. It seems like its BJP's backed protest," said Sisodia.

He accused Mishra, who was suspended from the party after accusing party supremo Arvind Kejriwal for accepting Rs 2 crore cash from minister Satyendra Jain, is not answering simple questions.

"Our MLA Jha is asking when did he go to CM's residence. Also, was Jain present there before he arrived or he came later. He is not answering simple questions," said Sisodia.
