Anil Kapoor has recreated Mohammed Rafi's classic song "Badan pe sitare" in his own inimitable style to remember the legendary playback singer on his 38th death anniversary.

The song has Kapoor's effervescent charm as he pulls of some of Shammi Kapoor's iconic moves.

"Fanney Khan", directed by Atul Manjrekar, will see Kapoor in the role of an orchestra singer, who worships Rafi and Shammi Kapoor as his idols.

Staying true to the original essence of the retro classic, Amit Trivedi has re-imagined the track in Sonu Nigam's voice.

"Fanney Khan" revolves around a father who wishes to fulfil his daughter's dream of becoming a star performer as she battles fat shaming.

It also features Rajkummar Rao, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Pihu Sand and Divya Dutta.

The film has been produced by T-Series, Anil Kapoor Films & Communications Network and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures. It will be released on August 3.
