Chanakya vs Chanakya Neeti

Just as Ajay Devgn gives Neeraj Pandey’s historical film Chanakya the nod, we hear that Prakash Jha has decided to go ahead and make Chanakya Neeti, a sequel to his hit film Rajneeti. The director recently registered the title with the film producers’ association, and he’s currently in the process of casting.

Sources inform us that Prakash is looking to cast Katrina Kaif once again. “The director’s (Prakash Jha) first choice for the lead role is Katrina because she has already worked with him in the past, he likes her as a performer, and he feels that she will do justice to the role. Esha Gupta, who has worked with Jha in Chakravyuh, is another possible contender for the role,” the source says. It’s also interesting that until recently, rumour had it Neeraj Pandey wanted his favourite actor — Akshay Kumar, to play the lead role in his film. We wonder what happened there.
