Dhadak title song is all about stolen glances and stolen moments as two youngsters who have barely stepped into youth learn the pain and ecstasy that love is. As Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter romance with stately Rajasthan as the backdrop, the mellifluous notes of Ajay Atul bring alive the emotions in the Dhadak title song.

The first number of the film to come out, it captures the essence of Dhadak -- far more lavish than its parent source, Sairat, it is trying to still capture everything that audience loved about the Marathi film. While how successful it will be in its endeavour is still to be seen but whatever we have heard of music from Dhadak, the title track and snatches from Zingaat in Hindi, have been win-win till now. Dhadak marks the Bollywood debut of late actor Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s stepbrother Ishaan Khatter.

Sharing the song, producer Karan Johar tweeted, “http://bit.ly/DhadakTitleTrack … Let the feeling of someone making your heart go Dhadak take over!❤ DhadakTitleTrack out now! http://bit.ly/DhadakTitleTrack … apoorvamehta18 KuttySujay Janhvi Ishaan ShashankKhaitan ZeeStudios_ AjayAtulOnline OfficialAMITABH ZeeMusicCompany.” Ajay Gogavale and Shreya Ghoshal have lent their voices for the song that has been composed by Ajay-Atul. Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned the simple yet touching lyrics. An official adaptation of Marathi hit Sairat, Dhadak is directed by Shashank Khaitan, who has directed Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya - both starring Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.

Sairat traced the story of two teenagers battling the rigid caste system for their love. Janhvi steps into the shoes of Rinku Rajguru while Ishaan takes on the role essayed by Akash Thosar in Sairat. After the first trailer for Dhadak was released on June 11, it got mixed reactions. While many applauded the trailer, others felt the caste angle of the original has been watered down in Dhadak and believed there were unnecessary Bollywood trappings in the Karan Johar production. Dhadak marks the Bollywood debut of Ishaan who was earlier seen in Iranian auteur Majid Majidi’s Beyond the Clouds. This is Janhvi’s first film and will hit theatres on July 20.
