After a long gap post Baahubali 2, director SS Rajamouli has begun working on his next project. The film called RRR, which will star Ram Charan and Junior NTR in the lead roles, may reportedly be a remake of ‘90s hit film, Karan Arjun.

According to a report in The News Minute, Rajamouli is working with his writer father KV Vijayendra Prasad to rework the story a bit while keeping its core plot intact. Karan Arjun, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan as brothers, was directed by Rakesh Roshan. The film released in 1995 and went on to be a smash hit. In March this year, the makers of RRR released its motion poster, which also had the film’s logo.

Incidentally, both Ram and NTR have worked with Rajamouli in their individual capacity in the past. While Ram did Magadheera with him, NTR worked in a film called Student No 1 with Rajamouli. Rajamouli was always a top notch director in the Telugu filmdom with hits like Chatrapathi, Magadheera and Maryada Ramanna. However, it is with Baahubali that he gained recognition at a national and international level. The rest, as they say, is history.
