Months after protests gripped parts of the country over the movie Padmavati, another row over the movie 'Loveratri', which features Salman Khan's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in the lead role, seems to be brewing. A group by the name 'Hindu Hi Aage' has declared a reward of Rs five lakh for anyone who thrases Salman Khan, reported ANI.

The Agra unit chief of 'Hindu Hi Aage', Govind Parashar, has said that the movie hurts the 'Hindu sentiments' as it has been named after sacred festival Navratri. "Whoever will thrash Salman, he will be rewarded with Rs five lakhs and a person who will vandalise the set of the movie will get Rs two lakhs," an ANI report quoted Parashar as saying. He also threatened to vandalise the theatre that releases the movie. "The owner will be responsible for the destruction of the movie hall," he added.

Earlier, the VHP raised opposition with the upcoming movie Loveratri, saying it will not allow screening of as its name distorts the meaning of a Hindu festival. "We will not allow its exhibition in cinema halls in the country. We don't want the sentiments of Hindus to be hurt," VHP's international working president Alok Kumar had said. Speaking to reporters earlier, Kumar said, "The film is set against the backdrop of Navratri, a Hindu festival, and the name distorts its meaning." Loveratri is slated to be released on October 5 this year, around the same time when Navaratri would be celebrated.
