Nani turns host for season 2 of Bigg Boss Telugu

Thanks to Jr NTR’s charisma, Bigg Boss Telugu’s first season was a grand success. However, the makers have decided to pass on the baton to Nani for the new season. Earlier this month, it was revealed that actor Nani will replace Jr NTR as the host of the reality show for its second season.

Season 2 will go on air from June 10, Nani revealed via a poster on his Twitter page on Tuesday. The first season was telecast on Star Maa from July 16 and saw participants like Archana, Sameer Hasan, Mumaith Khan, Prince Cecil, Aadarsh, Hari Teja, Siva Balaji, Jyothi and jostling for the trophy. Nani said that there will be 16 participants this time as well and they’ll be locked inside the Bigg Boss house for 100 days. The participants for the second season are yet to be revealed.

An adaptation of the international show Big Brother, Bigg Boss sees participants locked in a house without any access to the outside world for months. On joining Bigg Boss Telugu, Nani said he was thrilled to take up the new opportunity as he liked to challenge himself with new endeavors. The show brought together many firsts to the Telugu entertainment space. It is the most expensive show to ever be created on Telugu television. It had one of the largest sets, with more than 10,000 square feet area and nearly 750 people worked on the project at any given point of time.
