Sonam Kapoor’s reception brings Salman Khan, Shah Rukh to the dance floor

Once the guests left Sonam Kapoor’s reception on Tuesday evening, it was a wild and crazy night. The newly married couple, more so Anand Ahuja, got a taste of partying, Bollywood style. Taking charge were Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, cousin Arjun Kapoor and Mika Singh as Anil Kapoor too joined the crazy gang.

Two veterans of Bollywood, Salman and Shah Rukh, were in full flow. If you saw them put up the perfect pose in the evening, be prepared to be surprised at their changed avatar as the night fell. Shah Rukh -- with his shirt unbuttoned till his waist -- seemed to be reminiscing his Delhi college days, while Salman decided to give the audience a taste of his singing potential. In one of the videos doing the rounds, we see Salman singing ‘Jaanam Samjha Karo’ even as SRK dances along. At one point, he pulls both Sonam and Anand to join the gang. And if you thought SRK was going overboard, do take a good look at another gentleman in a white shirt, goofing around with Salman. Well, that’s the father of the bride, Anil Kapoor. In all of this, it’s Anand who looks quite lost.

And what would you say when at least half a dozen men sing to a girl who has just got married -- mujhse shaadi karogi? A really crazy video has Mika singing the hit title track (from the film of the same name). Ranveer, Salman and Varun sing along as an embarrassed Sonam hugs her husband Anand standing close by. In other videos, we see Salman and Mika singing his other hits such as ‘Tan Tanaa Tan’ and ‘Aaj Ki Party Meri Taraf Se’. What’s a Bollywood party where Ranveer and Arjun don’t go berserk? So, in yet another video, we see the duo going live on their respective Instagram accounts. First to feature is Ranveer, who is shooting on his phone, while it is Arjun who is recording him on camera. At one point, Arjun says, “People are going to arrest us.” Seconds later, we see Arjun going live too.

Of course, how can a party which has Anil in it come to a close without ‘Dhi Na Dhin Dha...’ We mean the hit number My Name is Lakhan from Ram Lakhan. This footage is from the early moments of the party (Anil is still in his suit, you see). There’s yet another hilarious video in which Ranveer is carrying Anand and going around in circles. Moments later SRK leads Sonam in front of the camera. As Anand comes forward, SRK can be seeing gently pushing him away, as if to say: My turn to dance with the bride! Finally, there is a video of Ranveer going back to his Sindhi roots and dancing to ‘Damaadam Mast Kalandar’.
