Sister Rhea announces Sonam Kapoor’s new name after marriage

Sister Rhea has posted a photo on her Instagram account in which she has announced Sonam Kapoor’s new name after her marriage with Delhi-based businessman Anand Ahuja. Rhea captioned the photo: “Forever and ever. Sister love is the truest love I know. Me and Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja.”

In the photo, Sonam is wearing a red lehenga, typically associated with traditional north Indian weddings. The wedding took place at Sonam’s aunt’s place in Bandra, with a slew of close family and friends of the couple in attendance. The wedding proceedings were closely guarded as even Sonam arrived at the venue in a car with curtains hiding her look from the media. Sonam’s father and actor Anil Kapoor and brother Harshvardhan looked dapper in sherwanis while cousins Janhvi, Khushi, Anshula, Shanaya and Arjun were dressed in ethnic designer wear for the special day.

Other family members Boney Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor too were present for the occasion. From the film and fashion industry, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Karan Johar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rani Mukerji, Swara Bhasker, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, designer Masaba Gupta and stylist Pernia Qureshi were present at the venue. After the wedding, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja will be hosting a reception later this evening at The Leela. The dress code for the same is Indian and western formals.
