Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor wedding is just days away and the Kapoor residence is a beehive of activity. From paparazzi photos of film stars and relations dropping in at Anil Kapoor’s residence to them sharing videos of what is happening inside, we are getting a feel that Sonam’s wedding may be a private affair but it is as Bollywood as it gets.

On Friday night, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Karan Johar were photographed as they reached the residence. Later, Karan and Arjun shared videos as they rehearsed for their performances at the wedding. It appears that Salman Khan’s Swag Se Swagat, from 2017 hit Tiger Zinda Hai, is their song of choice. The entire family and a lot of friends appear to be rehearsing the steps with a young girl apparently teaching them steps. According to sources, dad Anil and his friends, Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik, have a surprise up their sleeve. He will dance on two of his favourite tracks -- My Name is Lakhan from his Ram Lakhan and Gallan Goodiyan from Dil Dhadakne Do – with the two veterans providing support. A source close to the family told Filmfare, “Anil is ecstatic about his performance on Sonam and Anand’s sangeet. He will perform on two of his favourite numbers – Gallan Goodiyan from Dil Dhadakne Do and My Name is Lakhan from Ram Lakhan. It will be more fun because Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher will also be joining Anil.”

The bride and the groom will perform on her hit songs like the Veere Di Wedding song Tareefen, Khoobsurat’s Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo title track. Farah Khan was supposed to choreograph the act but she fractured her leg recently after a late-night shoot. The two families recently confirmed the wedding and released a joint statement. “The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives,” read the statement. The wedding e-invites also found their way to internet. The cards read the schedule for mehendi on May 7 and wedding on May 8 morning, followed by a party in the evening. The functions will be held at Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra Bandstand and The Leela hotel, respectively.
