Mumbai: After the super success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama 'Padmaavat', Ranveer Singh has positioned himself as the biggest superstar among young actors. Ranveer was unanimously praised for his terrific portrayal of Alauddin Khilji in the film, which went on to become his highest grossing film of the career.

The actor is in the news because of an interesting story, which only shows how determined and passionate the young actor feels about his work. The 'Bajirao Mastani' star was recently offered Rs 2 crore for a wedding appearance, which he declined. Ranveer was offered the big fat amount for a 30 minutes appearance at a wedding but the star was afraid of getting deviated from his intense character of the upcoming film and hence he politely rejected the offer.

“Ranveer is a perfectionist when he is shooting and concentrates on the minutest details as part of his prep for the character he plays. For him to pull off this appearance would mean him wrapping up the shoot (he is shooting from 6am to 6pm every day for Zoya's film), flying to a different city and returning the same night to report to the set at the crack of dawn the following day, So, he told his team that he would like to concentrate on performing his role better than focus on the money offered and asked them to decline it," a source was quoted as saying to DNA.

Recently, director Zoya Akhtar revealed the look Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s character in 'Gully Boy'. In the picture, Alia Bhatt is clad in a Hijab while Ranveer is looking just an ordinary guy from a small town. Sharing the picture, Zoya Akhtar wrote, “14th February 2019 #gullyboy” Directed by Zoya Akhtar, 'Gully Boy' is based on the lives of street rappers Divine and Naezy. The film is slated to release on February 14, 2019.
