Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan, who has been part of many successful films, such as Mani Ratnam's O K Kanmani and Anjali Menon's Bangalore Days, is all set to make his debut in Bollywood.

He will be part of an untitled project produced by Ronnie Screwvala, which will also feature Irrfan Khan and the popular web series actor Mithila Palkar.

"It's a light-hearted comedy that will see Dulquer and Irrfan as friends on a road trip. The film rolls by the month-end in Kerala," source said. This film is written by Hussain Dalal, the writer of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States, and will be directed by debutante Akarsh Khurana. Khurana and Dalal have co-written the script. The project will go on floors by the end of August.

Initially, Abhishek Bachchan was chosen for this role, but had to reject the offer because the dates of this film clashed with that of JP Dutta's Paltan.
