Rajnikanth’s daughter Soundarya and her husband are officially divorced.

Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya has finally parted ways with husband Ashwin. Their marriage came to an end on Tuesday when the principal family court judge Maria Clatta formalised the separation.

The two were married for seven years and have a four-year-old son. Reports say that the court proceedings went on for seven months but were smooth and the decision of getting a divorce was mutual.

The couple was firm on ending their marriage but neither the terms of settlement nor the custody of their son have been revealed till now.

The couple, married on September 3, 2010. Lawyer’s privy to the divorce proceedings said the couple had been living separately for about seven months now, and their misunderstanding over various issues reached a point of no return earlier than that.
