Tamannaah Bhatia and Prabhudeva starrer Khamoshi would be the first Indian film to be shot with an 8k camera. Using revolutionary cameras for shooting films is not particularly new to Indian cinema. Movies like Sivaji and Baahubali 2 used cameras that are usually not used in the making of films.

Following in the footsteps of such pathbreaking films, Prabhudheva’s next is all set to become India’s first movie to be shot using cameras that have the ability to shoot in 8K resolution.

The film, Khamoshi, directed by Chakri Toleti, is touted to be a remake of the upcoming Tamil film, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, which stars Nayanthara in the lead role.

Prabhudheva took to his official twitter account to say, “Very excited and proud to be a part of India’s first 8K film, Khamoshi. Thank you Vashu Bhagnani and Chakri Toleti for this great opportunity.”The origin of 8K cameras goes back to 2013, with Hollywood subsequently adapting such cameras for their films.

The latest Chris Pratt starrer, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, used Red’s 8K Weapon camera.
Khamoshi features Tamannaah as a girl who cannot hear or speak, with Bhumika Chawla also playing a pivotal role. The movie was shot entirely in London with the entire shooting wrapped in 25 days.
