NTPC explosion: Toll rises to 22, Rahul to visit the site today

The toll in the NTPC boiler blast in Uttar Pradesh’s Raebareli rose to 22 on Thursday, with two more succumbing to burn injuries, officials said. The state government has ordered a magisterial probe.

Rae Bareli district magistrate Sanjay Kumar Khatri told IANS the number of injured in the Wednesday’s National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) plant blast was 64. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will visit the site Thursday afternoon.
