Ceasefire violation at LoC, 5-year-old girl, soldier killed in firing

Jammu: A five-year-old girl and a soldier were killed in heavy Pakistan firing along the line of control in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, forcing India to warn the neighbouring country it reserved the right to hit back.

In this latest violation, Naik Muddasar Ahmed from Jammu and Kashmir's Tral dstrict lost his life in Pakistani firing in the Rajouri sector. This summer, there has been a heavy exchange of fire along the LoC that has left many soldiers and civilians dead on both sides.

The Indian Army "is sincere in maintaining peace and tranquillity along the LoC", said it’s DGMO.
