CID questions former minister Murugesh Nirani in sex scandal case.

Bengaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former minister Murugesh Nirani was on Friday questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Congress leader H.Y. Meti's alleged sex scandal case.

Senior CID officials said the kingpin in the case, constable Subhash, was well known to Mr. Nirani and there have been allegations that the entire episode was a honeytrap organised by him, as Meti had refused favours. However, Nirani on Friday told officials that he had dissuaded Subhash from going public with the sleaze CD. Officials said that the investigation into the case was almost over.
