PU Commerce stream to adopt NCERT syllabus from this academic year

Bengaluru: The State Pre University Department has decided to introduce National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) syllabus for the PU Commerce students from this academic year which will start on June 15, 2017.

According to the sources in the state Pre University Education Department (PUE), decision in this regard has been taken to prepare the students for the various national-level examinations like CA, CAT etc.

According to the officials, state PU department adopted NCERT text books for PUC science students in the academic year 2013-14 itself to prepare them for various national-level admission tests like NEET, JEE, JEE mains.
