Govt. committed to reservation policy in job promotions, says Siddaramaiah

BENGALURU: Reaffirming his government's commitment to reservation policy in job promotions, chief minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said that Karnataka would file a review petition before the Supreme Court, which recently struck down the state's policy.

The CM, at a ceremony commemorating BR Ambedkar's 126th birth anniversary, said, "We are committed to implementing the reservation policy. There is no question of withdrawing it. We believe, unless we have reservation in promotions, equality cannot be achieved."
