CM Siddaramaiah arrives in Delhi to discuss ministry expansion with high command

Bengaluru: After retaining two Legislative Assembly seats for the Congress in the recent byelection, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah arrived in New Delhi on Friday night to discuss the filling of two vacant seats in his council of ministers, with the Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other leaders.

Soon after his arrival in New Delhi, Siddaramaiah met party general secretary incharge of Karnataka, Digvijaya Singh, and discussed the issue. He was accompanied by KPCC?president G?Parameshwara and working president Dinesh Gundu Rao.

While it is likely that Geetha Mahadeva Prasad, who got elected from Gundlupet seat in the bypolls may be inducted into the council of ministers it is learnt that the chief minister is keen on inducting a backward classes leader, particularly from his own Kuruba community for the other slot.
