CM Siddaramaiah : Multiplex ticket price cap to 200 before month end

BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's budget promise of enforcing a `200 cap on the price of cinema tickets in multiplexes will be a reality this month itself.

Admitting to the delay in implementing the budget proposal, Siddaramaiah on Tuesday said that it would be implemented before the end of this month (April) and the necessary government order would be issued within the next few days.

It may be recalled that some movie exhibitors in the city had expressed their displeasure at the proposal to peg the cinema ticket price. The delay in implementing the proposal had raised doubts in the minds of the moviegoers and the members of Karnataka Film Chamber representatives about the commitment of the government to implement it.
