Bengaluru: Despite the Mahadayi row still remaining unsolved, the nervous BJP is keen on holding valedictory event of the Parivarthana Yathra and it is said that the BJP leadership in Delhi had held a secret meeting to chalk out plans to hold the event tactfully, without losing its face.

The meeting that was held late in the evening on Monday under leadership of Minister Ananth Kumar was participated by state BJP leaders Jagadish Shettar, K S Eshwarappa, R Ashok, Aravinda Limbavali and BL Santhosh.

The valedictory event will be attended by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself on February 4 in Bengaluru and on the same day various organisations have called for a bundh in connection to the Mahadayi issue. The BJP is now gripped by fear that the protesters may spoil the show. It is said that the plan to hold the event has been chalked out by BJP National Chief Amit Shah himself and the same was only explained to and discussed by Anant Kumar with the state leaders.

The high command has already taken a report on the Karnataka bundh and Bengaluru bundh and attention has been specifically paid towards security to be provided during the event. The high command has asserted on the state leaders to ensure that the valedictory event does not turn out to be a flop show and has even suggested the BJP leaders to hold talks with the organisations that have called for a bundh.

The leaders have been asked to make alternate arrangements to ferry people to the venue, just in case the public transport system comes to standstill. Further, it has been clearly instructed that no leader would make any statements on Mahadayi issue till the event is over. If inevitable, only selected senior leaders will be allowed to speak. The leaders have also been asked to abstain from making provocative statements and not even venture into attacking the opposition parties. Kumar has told the BJP leaders to see to it that PM Modi does not face any embarrassing situation due to the ongoing Mahadayi issue.
