Shah needs to know that Karnataka is not UP, says Siddaramaiah

With news of extortion call made to Minister for Education Tanveer Sait making rounds, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that probe will be taken up to ascertain the authenticity of the call.

It is said that underworld element Ravi Poojary had made an extortion call to the minister demanding Rs 10 crores.Speaking to reporters at the helipad before leaving Madikeri, on Wednesday, in the city, he refused to comment on the news that a cobra had shown up at the resort where BJP National Chief Amit Shah was put up.

However, the CM said that the 23 point programme that Shah has planned to implement in the state will yield no result and that the BJP will not come to power in the state."Shah needs to first realise that Karnataka is not UP," the CM said ruling out any drift between him and KPCC Chief G Parameshwar.This apart, the CM also said that he will recommend to the centre to bestow Bharat Ratna on Field Marshal Cariappa.
