CM Siddaramaiah to table budget around February second week

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will table the annual budget on the second week of February of 2017-18 and the current budget length would stretch up to Rs 2 lakh crores.

After the one-month Yathra of the Chief Minister to inform the public of his government's achievements, soon after Sankranthi, he would start a department-wise pre-budget discussions along with organizations and institutions. the first joint session of the year and budget session may come in the same month, according to sources.

Soon after the budget, the Chief Minister along with other party leaders, will start a ‘Janasheervada Yathre’ from March 1. According to the estimations of the ruling Congress party, with the first phase of Yathra, the people can be informed about the programmes of the government and the second phase from the party would help in keeping the party workers and leaders active.
