RaGa to visit Karnataka on November 19

Bengaluru: AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi is coming out more openly, making scathing attacks on the central government. With the state running into elections in 2018 and with the need to retaining power in Karnataka, it is said that Rahul Gandhi will be visiting the state on November 19.

During his three day visit, it is believed that the Gandhi scion is going to play the 'soft Hindutva' card by visiting two major religious destinations of the state, viz- Udupi and Shringeri.According to the party strategists who are working on the three-day visit of Rahul Gandhi, he will be in Chikkamagaluru on November 19 to be a part of Indira Gandhi's birth anniversary celebrations.

"In the evening he is expected to visit Shringeri Math. The Gandhi family has a close connection with Chikkamagaluru as well as Shringeri Math and we want to make use of this opportunity to douse off the anger of the upper caste against the state government," said a leader.

Meanwhile, the young Congress leader is also supposed to visit Udupi Krishna Math, where the seers of almost all the eight Maths have been vocal about their inclination and support to the BJP. The visit is believed to bring about a shift in perception.In a span of three days, RaGa is expected to take part in at least six rallies at various place. "He is trying to consolidate the party's position in the state," sources say.
