Bengaluru: All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and in-charge of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal convened a meeting with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, legislators and Ministers here on Friday.

Reportedly expressed concern about adverse media publicity in the city against the Congress government owing to the continuous inconvenience suffered by residents and commuters in different parts of the city.

With the city’s infrastructure woes increasing after heavy rain, Venugopal sought details on frequent flooding and the problems faced by residents caused by damaged roads since unabated rain in the city, flooding and potholed roads making headlines has not gone down well with the Congress high command.

Following tough talk by Venugopal, the chief minister has convened a meeting to discuss the civic problems of the city on Saturday.Besides city Ministers, the meeting will be attended by top officials of all civic agencies, including BBMP, Bangalore Development Authority, Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board, and Bangalore Electricity Supply Company.
