More rain & flooding expected today, tomorrow in Bengaluru

06 Oct 2017 11:23 AM | General
565 Report

Expect more rain and flooding at Bengaluru today as well as tomorrow.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), rain will continue to lash south interior Karnataka, including Bengaluru, up to October 9. "On Thursday and Friday there will be isolated but heavy rainfall in these parts. On the third day, there will be scattered rainfall, and on the fourth and fifth days there will be fairly widespread rainfall," the IMD has said.

The predictions are made on the basis of the cyclonic circulation over the east and central Arabian Sea, off the Karnataka-North Keralacoast. The likelihood of a low-pressure zone developing over the northern Bay of Bengal and the neighbouring areas during the next 48 hours is also not ruled out.
