Bengaluru: Janata Dal (Secular) state president and former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, who is recovering from a heart valve replacement surgery, has announced that he would tour the State in November.

Speaking to media persons on Sunday, Kumaraswamy came down heavily on the BJP and Congress, and said both parties were being overconfident of victory in the 2018 Assembly polls, but the voters will decide.“Leaders of Opposition parties seem to have assumed that I cannot campaign and my father is old. But, I have got a rebirth and will hit the ground soon,” he said.

Hitting out at the BJP leaders, he said: “The BJP has announced a Nava Karnataka Parivartana Yatra. I don’t understand what transformation they want to bring to the State.”Kumaraswamy did not spare Chief Minister Siddaramaiah either. “Siddaramaiah came to meet me and wish me well, for which I thanked him. But the chief minister should meet farmers who have lost their crops owing to erratic rains and ask them of their problems.”Kumaraswamy is discharged from hospital on Monday. He will rest for a month, during which he requested his followers not to come to meet him.
