V K Sasikala had day out of prison?hints CCTV footage!

Bengaluru: After allegations that AIADMK interim General Secretary V K Sasikala was getting VIP treatment inside Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru, a video has emerged wherein Sasikala is seen walking into the prison in civil clothes through the main entrance along with her relative Ilavarasi. The CCTV footage has now raised questions on whether Sasikala and Ilavarasi were allowed to venture out of the jail by the officials. The video has been handed over to the Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Karnataka police for probe.It is said that former DIG of Prisons D Roopa had submitted video footage to the ACB to substantiate her claim that several prisoners, including Sasikala are receiving VIP treatment inside the jail. The fresh video only strengthens her claim.

Roopa, in her report to the DGP (Prisons) Sathyanarayana Rao, in July had talked about a Rs 2 cr deal offered to the jail officials to give preferential treatment to Sasikala. Roopa later alleged that the amount was paid to none other than Rao himself, following which a high-level probe was started on July 13. Roopa was later transferred.
