Former Prime Minister H D Devegowda held a mammoth rally in Chamarajpet Assembly constituency of Bengaluru city on Friday. This constituency is represented by JDS rebel MLA and one time close associate of former CM H D Kumaraswamy B Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan.

But what made this rally more interesting was verbal attack by Gowda against Khan. "Some one told me that I can't hold a rally in Chamarajpet. But today I have proved that no one can stop me or my party," he said.

"Chamarajpet is not in Pakistan. I have visited each lane of this constituency in the name of Daridra Narayana rally to send a party activist to Vidhana Soudha. Today the same person is challenging me to hold a rally in his constituency," he said.

"I have taken the challenge posed by the rebel MLAs and ensure that party will win those constituencies again," he said.

Hitting at all the 8 rebel JDS MLAs, Gowda stated, "When Kumaraswamy was the chief minister of the state, these leaders used him like never before. Except poisoning, they have committed all kinds of backstabbing on him once the party lost power," he said.
