State-wide fuel station bandh called off tomorrow

Bengaluru: Petroleum Dealers' Association has dropped the proposed state-wide fuel station bandh on Wednesday.

Earlier, the association had called for a state-wide fuel station bandh on Wednesday, July 12 in protest against the center's decision to fix the petrol/ diesel prices on daily basis.

"Union petroleum ministry has positively responded to our demands including increase in the commission. So we have decided to drop the bandh proposal. Ministry has formed a committee to look into all our demands. Committee will give its final report by August 15. Adding to this, ministry assured of revising the commission from August 1. So we have dropped the bandh proposal," said an association member.
