Bengaluru: The Science Express Train will arrive in Bengaluru city on June 6. It will halt in various stations of the city till June 11.

As per the schedule, the train will arrive in the city on June 6. It will be stationed at Whitefield railway station between June 6 and 8. On June 8 night, it will travel to Kengeri Railway station where it will be stationed till June 11.

The express train based on the Science Express Climate Action Special (SECAS) theme, has been specially designed to infuse interest among the school children about various issues related to science and had departed from New Delhi on February 17.

According to officials, the students can visit this 13-bogie air conditioned train between 10 am and 5 pm. There will not be any entry fee but carrying any kind of gadget inside is prohibited. Many feel that Indian railways should have stationed the train inside the city limits as both Whitefiled and Kengeri stations are not student-friendly.

"We need to travel for minimum 3 hours to reach any of these two stations. Science express is one of the popular experiments and railways should have stationed them in any of the city stations like Majestic or Yesvantpur where station space is plenty," says Raghhuveer Kumar, a science enthusiast.
