H D Kumaraswamy to start campaign in Bengaluru city from June 1

Bengaluru: JD(S) State President HD Kumaraswamy has already started working towards the 2018 Assembly polls and is all set to launch a door-to-door campaign in all 198 wards of the Bengaluru city on Thursday.

The JD(S) had won just three seats in 2013 assembly elections in the city. Among the three MLAs from the city, Chamarajpet MLA BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan has been suspended from party activities following dissidence activities.

According to the draft plan prepared by the JDS city unit, Kumaraswamy will start this Pada Yatra from historical Annamma temple near Majestic on Thursday morning. He will visit all the wards of the city in next few days by walk. Enroute he will visit the houses and request for votes for the party in the next election.

"This Pada Yatra will conclude on June 16 in the premises of Rajarajeshwari temple of RR Nagar constituency. Party will distribute pamphlets,' informed Mr. R Prakash, party city unit president.
