Tourism dept. & KSTDC ties up with Ola for city tours

Bengaluru: To make sightseeing hassle-free in the city, the Department of Tourism and Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) have tied up with cab aggregator Ola to offer local sightseeing tours to popular destinations in and around Bengaluru.

Called ‘Bengaluru Detours’, guests will be picked up from their doorsteps for the fully customised and curated tours. The package includes tour guides, refreshments and lunch. Depending on the size of the group, customers can book either a sedan, an MUV or an SUV.

At present, two packages are being offered. They are Bengaluru-Nandi Tour and Wildlife of Bengaluru. The outstation tours are Bengaluru-Mysuru-Madikeri, Bengaluru-Ooty via Mysuru, Bengaluru- Hampi via Chitradurga, Bengaluru- Shravanbelagola-Belur-Halebeedu.

Minister for Tourism Priyank Kharge lauded the initiative of KSTDC and hoped it would help tourists experience a curated tour. Bookings can be made through the KSTDC’s websitewww.kstdc.coat least two days in advance.
