Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president G. Parameshwara has described the charge-sheet released by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit against the Congress government as a bundle of lies.

"Instead of making false accusations, let there be constructive criticism. The government is prepared to make necessary corrections," he said.

He pointed out that a survey had ranked Bengaluru as the most dynamic city in the world, ahead of Silicon Valley and Boston in the U.S. He sought to know why the Union government felicitated H.K. Patil, Umashree and other Ministers for their performance in their respective departments if the charges leveled by the BJP were true.

Talking about the Home Department, Dr. Parameshwara said that while Karnataka occupies 12th position in the country by recording 4.7% of crime rate, the BJP-ruled States like Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan had recorded crime rate ranging from 6 to 9.3%. He also disputed that BJP's claims on the economic health of the department, saying borrowings were within the stipulated limits.

KPCC working president Dinesh Gundu Rao also said that all the allegations leveled by BJP are far from the truth.
