Republic TV to face legal action for calling AICC spokesperson ‘lunatic’

Bengaluru: Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV may have hit a legal hurdle with none other than AICC spokesperson and well-known advocate Brijesh Kalappa announcing his decision to initiate legal action against the channel.

It all started with Republic TV trying to get a quote from Kalappa over Delhi HC directions on Young India issue. This verbal dual video become sensational following few Republic TV supporters posting the video on You Tube under the banner, Arnab's befitting reply to Cong leader Brijesh Kalappa who was misbehaving with female anchor.

 “Apparently though, the rant continued and I feel really sorry that someone of his stature, someone I have liked and respected for many years, has to stoop to this level. I wonder why?," he has written on his FB wall.

Kalappa announced that he will start a legal action for circulating the video.Meanwhile, a day after Republic TV anchor described him lunatic on air, several personalities have openly extended their support to Kalappa and expressed their shock over the incident.

It may also be recalled that on the day of launch the channel had aired an so called exclusive tape of RJD chief Lalu Yadav discussing administrative affairs with the jailed don-turned-politician Shahbuddin, a conversation which few channels, netizens claimed to be in existence since 2014.
