Actor Sruthi Hariharan lodges complaint for uploading hers morphed photos on fake FB account

Bengaluru: Kannada actor Sruthi Hariharan has filed a complaint with cyber police at the City Police Commissioner’s Office requesting action against people uploading morphed photos of hers and other actors on various websites.

Sruthi met Police Commissioner Praveen Sood on Friday and filed a complaint stating that photographs of her as well as other actors had been tampered with. According to investigators, an unidentified person had opened Facebook accounts in her name and posted indecent pictures.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Anand Kumar, while confirming the allegations, said some people had created fake Facebook accounts in Shruthi Haraiharan’s name and published inappropriate images. Police registered a case under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and are investigating the case.
