Election officials registered FIR against Pramod Madhwaraj 

Election officials have registered a FIR against Pramod Madhwaraj, Minister for Sports, Fisheries and Youth Empowerment citing violation of model code of conduct.

Pramod Madhwaraj had issued the statement promising government employment and Rs. 25 lakhs in cash by the state government to Gururaj Poojary who won Silver Medal during the Commonwealth Games held at Australia.The election officials argue that this statement of the Minister stands violating the model code of conduct. Hence, the election officials registered FIR against the Minister.
